1251 is Jackson’s newest ambulance. Just as 1250, it is equipped with a
variety of tools and equipment to handle any medical emergency. Splints
and long boards for traumatic injuries, intravenous drugs to counteract
narcotic overdoses and diabetic emergencies as well as a defibrillator
for cardiac arrests are all ready for use. 1251 may be used as the
first out squad depending on equipment rotations, and is essentially an
identical copy of 1250, except that the unit is a 2011 model. Having
both squads set up similarly helps the ambulance crews work more
efficently because the supplies are all in similar areas.
