1280 is our Command Vehicle and generally goes to all fire incidents with a crew of one Chief Officer and one Line Officer. Scene operations are run out of the truck, usually from under the tailgate. There are multiple radios, reference materials, thermal imaging equipment, laptop computers and an explosive gas meter. The other equipment carried on this truck includes a Four-Gas detector for finding dangerous atmospheres (gas leaks, carbon monoxide leaks, and low oxygen levels), a radiation detector and additional breathing air bottles.
