The Jackson Fire Department is staffed by three full-time personnel during normal business hours. The remainder of the fire/rescue staffing is performed by community members that respond from their homes and places of business when paged for an emergency as Paid-on-Call members.
The total staffing of the Department is 48 members, but there are normally a number of openings. Community members are encouraged to apply for open positions. Please visit the department during business hours if you wish to learn about being a Paid-on-Call member.
